Your Gift Matters.
We exist to share God’s love by empowering the lives of the poor, captive, blind and the oppressed.
Why give?
Giving to Eikon means that the needs in our community are directly addressed. Every week we are supporting individuals, families, and whole communities with our programs that your financial support will immediately impact.
Transforming Lives Through Action: Eikon’s Key Programs.
Our mission is built on action. We don’t shy away from the tough issues; we embrace the tension and dive into the hard topics, walking alongside our community members as they seek hope, healing, and purpose. Here are some of the key programs making an impact in Oakland:
Infinite Christmas:
Not just a seasonal event; it’s a year-round movement. In partnership with over 40 nonprofits and churches, we serve the most vulnerable by distributing shelf-stable food and home goods to those in need. Every month, we provide essential resources to approximately 1,000 individuals in our community.
Y.E.S. (Youth Environmental Studies):
A middle-school-focused summer program that equips students to explore their community’s environmental challenges and the beauty of creation through creative writing, environmental studies, and cultural history. These young student-researchers write poetry, fiction, and nonfiction based on their research, which helps them discover who they are, why they are here, and what their purpose is.
Biblical Empowerment Worldview (BEWV)
This faith-based empowerment approach challenges participants to examine their beliefs, mindsets, and behaviors in light of scripture and God’s plan for their lives. Through workshops and group discussions, participants affirm their identity, dignity, and agency, gaining the confidence to make lasting changes in their personal lives and communities.
This program doesn’t just inspire individuals—is an opportunity for participants to embrace sustainable change, empowering participants to be leaders in their own transformation, with the knowledge that they are deeply valued by God.
The Bodega & Sunday Gathering: Food & Fellowship
Every Sunday, 2505 Telegraph becomes a place for resources, food, and fellowship. Food Security Program we are able to offer a warm meal and the Bodega, our free store, is stocked with groceries.
