YES is a middle-school focused summer program that uses creative writing, environmental studies and cultural history to empower children to research the environmental challenges in their community while exploring the beauty of the created world and the community they’re from.
Student-researchers write poetry, fiction and nonfiction from their environmental research which, ultimately, catalyzes into their search for who they are, why they are alive on this planet and what is their purpose in life?
Through YES youth become working Researchers who use science, art, social studies, creative writing, math and music to research their environment.
